General Description: When and how are we most deeply grounded? In this series we will experientially explore this vital question and discover its relevance to more fully embodying our spiritual understanding.
Most contemplative traditions, east or west, tend to focus on awakening the mind and heart. However, they often minimize or entirely ignore the belly (or hara) which includes our felt sense of the ground. As a result many long-term spiritual practitioners remain unfamiliar with this critically important domain and are subject to doubting their inner authority and being regularly hijacked by the deeply conditioned and unconscious fears embedded in this area.
In our shared journey, we will explore the different dimensions of the ground – egoic, soul/archetypal, and Self (no self) – and our resistance to more fully opening to the ground of Being. We will also learn how to welcome our resistance from Presence and to rest in and as our deepest Ground. This brings a profound sense of inner stability, self-trust, autonomy, and connection with a fundamental life current. It also provides a foundational safety for sustaining an open heart and clear mind.
Sunday, March 7th “The Multidimensional Ground: Ego, Soul, and Self (no self)”
Sunday, March 14th “Resistance to Opening to Our Deepest Ground”
Sunday, March 21st “Welcoming Resistance from Presence”
Sunday, March 28th “Resting in and as our Deepest Ground”
Bio: John J. Prendergast, Ph.D. is the author of The Deep Heart (2019) and In Touch (2015), a retired Adjunct Professor of Psychology at CIIS, a spiritual teacher, and a soon-to-retire psychotherapist, who offers online and in-person (when possible) retreats.

Jeannie Zandi ~ Good, Bad, Is
Conditioned separation has us living from a limited either-or perspective and chains us to a cycle of trying to be “good” and avoiding being “bad.” The way out is abiding in things-as-they-are. Join Jeannie and friends to meet in “the field outside of rightdoing and wrongdoing” (Rumi).
Jeannie’s gift for inviting people to join her in resting and rooted presence evokes a deep meeting with oneself and reality. Within that, Jeannie’s humor and iconoclasm serve to bring people into an understanding that is beyond the intellectual. Through silent and guided meditation, spontaneous talks and exchange with participants, Jeannie will host a space of clarity and warmth where the richness of relating can be explored safely and your innermost questions met fully. Come join us!
Jeannie is the director of Living as Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to seeding a culture of the Heart on the planet, inspiring, teaching and supporting people to live from their essence as Love. A year before the birth of her daughter, Jeannie was plunged into a dark night of the soul that culminated in a radical shift of consciousness. She is known for her fearless clarity, tender mercy toward humanness, and a juicy, poetic and often humorous style that draws from Advaita Vedanta, Sufism, Christian mysticism and the ongoing revelation of fully engaged living. Residing in Colorado, she travels widely in the US, bringing a down-to-earth embodied teaching of living as love.

Marlies Myoku Cocheret ~ The Secret Sanctuary
Daylight Savings Time starts March 14th, 2021.
Times show here are now Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)
During this regular monthly satsang, Marlies gently guides us to rest in the silence of our being, our secret, sacred sanctuary. The more we rest as the silence that we are, the more this silence permeates our lives and the rest of the world.
As we fall into the arms of our true nature, sometimes that which is not silent may start to arise, such as trauma, pain, confusion, pleasure, etc. These are received and acknowledged in this space. With the assistance of Marlies’ presence as an anchor, your Being stands out as the only thing there really is … which is You!
We invite you to join us to deepen into the truth of your being.
There will be an opportunity to share, so please bring your experience, presence and questions to share with the group.
Marlies Myoku Cocheret de la Morinière has devoted her life to the Beloved. She brings a potent invitation into the deep Silence that we are. The kindness of her gentle and direct teaching guides us home like a lighthouse. Marlies has been offering satsang and retreat since 2000 when Adyashanti asked her to teach. She lives in Santa Cruz, California and works internationally as a psychologist, Hakomi therapist and Tantric Educator.
Marlies is interviewed in the book Awakened Relating. A Guide To Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships by Lynn Marie Lumiere, and in the book Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom by R.M. Robinson.
“With Adya, the bottom fell out. I deeply knew I am not this body, mind, thought, psyche, and I am also all these things as well. There was no in and/or out. All is One.”

Ellen Emmet ~ The Awakening Body: 3-Day Online Retreat
We start at 9:00 am Pacific Time / 4:00 pm UK time /
5:00 pm Central European Time.
In this three day retreat we will explore our direct experience and let it reveal its essential reality of Awareness. Our particular focus is the body, allowing it to be our mirror and our pathway, our prayer and our altar, and ultimately the shining expression of this shared identity.
There will be time for questions and conversation each day as our inquiry deepens.
There will be a 20-minute break during the 3-hour sessions.
In our daily lives, the body is seldom tasted as it is. We rarely listen to its tactile and energetic language or allow it to simply unfold and blossom in its natural original intelligence.
In fact we have deeply disconnected from this level of experience and even when we turn back towards the body, we come with agendas and ideas that we project upon it, forcing the body into a new mode, only to perpetuate a felt identification with a body, that may seem improved, but in fact remains a mere projections for the separate self that seems to live in its center.
With silence as our main shrine, we will share gradually deepening guided tactile meditations along with simple postures, free movements, breathing, and visualizations. In this contemplation, resistances and chains of bodily contractions, the habits that create the illusion that our identity is limited, located and separate are revealed and free to unfold as they are: feelings and sensations that come and go in Awareness. We come to feel that our true identity is an open field of vibrating openness, limitless and ever-present.
Gently and effortlessly, in deepening waves, the body is slowly realigned with this felt understanding. It flows as a living substance with more and more ease and transparency and reflects and expresses the ever-present freedom and silence that is its invisible source.
Ellen’s deepest intuition was confirmed when she met her teacher, Francis Lucille. In his presence, she recognized the eternal, limitless and universal nature of our shared reality. Over many years, her understanding deepened to touch all levels of experience. The process of aligning and stabilizing all aspects of her life to this understanding has continued to unfold since then.
Today, Ellen offers meetings and retreats in The Awakening Body, sharing a direct exploration of reality sourced in the tradition of Kashmir Shaivism and self-inquiry as transmitted through Francis Lucille and his teacher, Jean Klein. In addition, she has a private practice as a psychotherapist and facilitator of Authentic Movement. Her background of Dance Movement Therapy and Transpersonal Psychology is shaped by the non-dual understanding. Ellen lives in Oxford, England with her husband, Rupert Spira.

Ajaya Sommers ~ BEING HERE – The Alchemical Intimacy of Presence ~ Daylong Retreat
In these day long retreats we participate by allowing ourselves permission to explore the contours of our most direct and intimate experience of Being Here; alive, honest, vulnerable and awake with feeling from our most divinely human center of Love.
Our collective unresolved history, traumas and fixation patterns are stored within the neuro-pathways of our tissues, frozen in time, thus clouding our direct experience. We can allow these places to thaw, unwind and be metabolized by the warmth of our loving presence. In this way, we discover how to participate in creating the safety and trust required to open to an embodied intimate relatedness with ourselves, Life and one another.
Often the deepest blessings of Life are shrouded in the intimate initiations or mystery schools we call love, loss, illness, trauma, death and all manner of things that involve not being in control.
When we peer through the lens of our original developmental blueprints of our human embryo and natural law itself, we can re-frame these inevitable initiations of Life as essential substantive blessings of nature. Allowing us to be here and to be who we are— not as a flaw or failure to the design or the path, but as primary ingredients to the alchemy involved in deepening our most human and divine evolution and embodiment.
What shall comprise each session?
Bringing our Loving attention to Embrace what is Present:
We will melt below our habit patterns of the default nervous system and connect directly with our innate core intelligence. Utilizing conscious breath, sound vibration, subtle intrinsic movement, embryological anatomy and provocative inquiry we enter into the inner alchemy that allows a dissolve of any out dated structures that may be obstructing our path. A psycho-spiritual somatic reorganization and higher order of self-regulation arises as our cells surrender into the all-pervasive holding ground of nature that is always present, when we are seated in the Core.
We will re-emerge renewed, resourced and ready to re-engage our senses such that they become thresholds where the divine, the natural world, our culture and the mystery of being human coalesce as the dynamic dance of Life.
Ajaya’s unique gifts and teaching style come through her depth of presence and all encompassing embrace. Come as you are and expect to be authentically celebrated!

Adam Chacksfield ~ Erotic Embodiment & Intimacy: Bringing Loving Awareness to our Experience
When we dare to open to the erotic dimension of our experience everything comes vibrantly alive for us. We are turned on! There is a delicious pleasurable sensitivity to life. We are touched by so many forms of beauty, and can enjoy the juicy energy inside all our feelings. We find ourselves inspired to engage and create effortlessly, fueled by the same abundant energy that also makes babies.
This gathering will offer a rare safe and loving space for opening to and exploring the truth our own direct experience of sexuality, erotic energy, and intimate relationships. This is an opportunity for us to open to the beautiful gift of erotic embodiment and bring awareness to whatever layers of fear and shame invite our loving attention. This is not a “how to” webinar, but an invitation for us to let the truth of our own erotic experience reveal itself. Every part of our direct experience is valid, innocent, and deserves to be met with love.
