In the words of Zen master Dogen:
“Those who have great realization of delusion are buddhas;
those who are greatly deluded about realization are sentient beings.”
(from Genjo Koan)
For a taste of this retreat, you are invited to attend a donation-based event on Friday in which Dorothy will preview what you might expect from the upcoming two-day retreat format. The Friday event will include a guided meditation and an overview of the topic: Clarity, Conditioning and Transformation. This offering can be seen as part of the longer retreat format, or simply as an opportunity to familiarize yourself with Dorothy, her teaching style, and the topic before deciding whether to join the weekend retreat.
The Friday event is complimentary for anyone who registers for this retreat.
Everyone deals with conditioning, but when we stop judging that it should not be here and become curious about its energies rather than our well-worn, (and often intellectually analyzed) narrative based on a separate “self," there is an opportunity to meet conditioning with clear seeing rather than resistance. This inherently open, aware, and compassionate clarity begins to transform our relationship to conditioning, whether or not it continues to arise. Freedom does not require being rid of anything that exists in the wholeness of being, from this perspective. And yet, seeing the myriad ways the conditioned mind returns us to an egoic trance state is part of the ongoing-ness of seeing through illusion. No judgment and a good bit of humor around this “human thing” can help tremendously!
The deep work of spiritual transformation begins when we have lost our fascination with both spiritual entertainment and polishing egos. We become unhooked from the fantasy of a perfected “self" and become more interested in authenticity and integrity, realizing there is no separate someone to be “only Awareness.” Yet what is awake and aware is ever-present and never separate from the moment as it is.
Dorothy Hunt currently serves as Spiritual Director of Moon Mountain Sangha, teaching at the request and in the spiritual lineage of Adyashanti. The flavor of her teaching blends Advaita and Zen with a deep welcoming of the human expressions of the Mystery. Dorothy is the founder of the San Francisco Center for Meditation and Psychotherapy, and practiced psychotherapy from 1967 until her retirement in 2020. She is the author of Only This!, Leaves from Moon Mountain, and Ending the Search: From Spiritual Ambition to the Heart of Awareness. In addition, she is a contributing author to two books on Nondual Wisdom and Psychotherapy, and the editor of Love: A Fruit Always in Season.
Presently, Dorothy offers satsang and retreats via Zoom, and dokusan by phone. For more information, please visit www.dorothyhunt.org

The great promise is to live the freedom we love, flowing with discernment and benevolent strength. The past has informed us but does not need to be held in the body to remind us of what we don’t like. Awareness is aware, it does not need nervous back up.
So we invite the body-mind, the past, the emotions and nervous system to know itself and live here, be here as aware presence. Life itself in all its creative power, passion and celebration.
Join Pamela and fellow sages for this 4-part retreat to free the body from the past.
Pamela Wilson evokes through dialogue, inquiry and her very presence the qualities of unconditional love and radical acceptance. She is celebrated for her ability to open the heart and create a space in which long-cherished struggles and notions about one’s identity relax. Featured in the book Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom, Pamela is at her best in heart-felt dialogue, so please bring your questions!

Shakti Caterina Maggi ~ Embodied nonduality
The teaching will be a dive into the heart of nonduality. An open and direct sharing about how our spiritual essence embodies in human experience to wake up to itself.
We will explore how suffering is the way through which we can recognize our self-imposed limitations. With courage and radical honesty we can use suffering as a trampoline to consciously connect to an unshakeable inner peace.
Shakti will offer a talk followed by Q&A.
Shakti Caterina Maggi is a spiritual guide, meditation teacher and author widely recognized as one of the most authentic and profound voices of contemporary spirituality. Combining the vision of Advaita and non-dual Tantra with a contemporary approach, Shakti offers with humanity, compassion and great clarity an inner technology to dissolve that contraction of suffering that accompanies our lives, and access a space of peace and unconditional love towards life.

Jeannie Zandi ~ Teacher, Teaching, Sangha
Join Jeannie to explore these three aspects of the spiritual path, the supportive value of each, and some pitfalls to navigate.
Jeannie’s gift for inviting people to join her in resting and rooted presence evokes a deep meeting with oneself and reality. Within that, Jeannie’s humor and iconoclasm serve to bring people into an understanding that is beyond the intellectual. Jeannie Zandi is the director of Living as Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to seeding a culture of the Heart on the planet, inspiring, teaching and supporting people to live from their essence as Love. Marlies Myoku Cocheret ~ Women’s Sensual Satsang (for Women Only)
If we view Satsang as being about waking up to our true nature and waking up out of our bodies i.e. to know we are not this thought, not this feeling etc. Then Sensual Satsang is about ‘incending’ back into the body, into the senses, - or more accurately - the body ‘incending’ back into our spacious, silent nature until our body and silence melt together as one.
During this Women’s Sensual Satsang, we first anchor ourselves as silence and then through guided practice, we awaken the senses. Along the way, we may bump into parts of ourselves that are disconnected and numb. With tenderness and patience - going only as fast as the slowest part - we invite these parts and the rest of the body to melt into the vast silence, until there is no gap between the two, no divide.
I'm very excited to offer this. Silence & Sensuality are very close to my heart. Hope to see you in Sensual Satsang!
About Marlies:
Marlies Myoku Cocheret brings a potent invitation into the deep silence that we are. She brings women together to celebrate their sovereignty and sensual, silent essence in their bodies. She’s been leading women on journeys of intimate connection with themselves and the feminine Divine for 25+ years and has been offering satsang and retreat since 2000 when Adyashanti asked her to teach. She lives in Tennessee and works internationally as a spiritual teacher, psychologist, Hakomi therapist, and tantric educator.
“Marlies is a master at offering practices that help us embody and connect to ourselves. I felt seen and met by her. Her work is deeply still and yet so enlivening. What a gift!” ~ B.E.

Marlies Myoku Cocheret ~ Exploring Meditation
Your body is a refined sense organ.
It is a portal into the beautiful Silent Presence that you are.
Let’s sit together … abide as You … for All
Meditation is the art of inner exploration. It’s an opportunity to slow down and receive all of life exactly as it is. Using your body as a portal into your Yourself, we will explore how to connect with and abide as your true essence underneath all the daily busy-ness.
You may have noticed that often the mind does not settle easily. In fact, in quietude, all the things you have been trying to avoid often come bubbling up to the surface. It’s not a problem. They simply want to be met with that gentle, fierce and spacious awareness which is what you truly are.
The more we learn to rest as our underlying silent nature, no matter what arises within us, the easier it becomes to keep our seat when the winds of life pull us back and forth.
Come set the tone for the day and be close with yourself in an embodied way.
Marlies Myoku Cocheret was invited to teach the Dharma by Adyashanti in 2000. She teaches meditation, retreats, and works as a Hakomi therapist and psychologist. She brings a potent invitation into the deep silence that you are, and guides you into embodied connection with your humanity and divine nature. With her grounded presence and therapeutic experience, people feel safe to explore meditation and awakening, knowing that whatever comes up is welcome and can be held.

CANCELLED – Stephan Bodian ~ Nondual Wisdom in Challenging Times
Due to events beyond our control,
this event had to be cancelled.
On the relative human level of time, space, and history, our species teeters on the edge of self-annihilation. We could easily destroy ourselves (and possibly our planet as well) in half a dozen ways within the lifetime of babies born now. At the same time, from the perspective of awakened awareness, everything is complete and perfect just as it is, no matter how it unfolds. These are the paradoxical truths we embody.
How do we face the facts—not only about our potential fate as a species but about the inevitability of our individual demise—and do what we can, while remaining grateful, open-hearted, compassionate, and joyful? How do we stay connected with our inherent wakefulness while living engaged and dynamic human lives? Please join me in satsang for an in-depth exploration of these themes and more. Our gathering will include guided meditation, direct pointers to our true nature, and plenty of time for dialogue and discussion.
Stephan Bodian is a teacher in the nondual wisdom tradition of Zen, Dzogchen, and Advaita Vedanta. He's been offering the School for Awakening, an annual multi-month intensive program in spiritual unfolding and awakened living, since 2007. As a licensed psychotherapist, he brings a deep understanding of the impact of trauma and early conditioning on the process of spiritual realization and offers individual counseling and a five-session mentoring intensive in psychospiritual integration. Stephan studied for many years with Advaita master Jean Klein and received Dharma transmission from Adyashanti in 2001. His books include Wake Up Now and Beyond Mindfulness.
