Boyan Milouchev ~ Embodied Understanding: The Importance of Feeling Our Emotions

Friday, March 25, 2022 @ 9:00am-11:00am (Pacific Time)

Recognising our True Self - the changeless reality beyond the body, mind, and circumstances in the world - is essential in order to live a true, honest, and happy life.
The recognition that we are not the body or the mind is the beginning of a journey of ever-deeper embodiment of our True Nature: of re-alignment of old beliefs with what is True on the level of the mind; and of releasing tensions and becoming more intuitive and free on the level of the body.

This event will focus on the body and on the importance of allowing feelings to flow through the body without self-judgement and self-blame. Often, strong feelings come with unwanted thoughts, and it is the resistance to these thoughts / feelings that sustains them in experience. We will also talk about projection, the world as a reflection of ourself, and the importance of feeling into whether an action is coming from Love or fear.

The event will begin with a 20-minute meditation followed by a talk and a Q&A session.

Bio:
From an early age, Boyan was fascinated by the nature of the mind and our experience of reality. After exploring NLP, the Three Principles, and A Course in Miracles, his journey of seeking came to an end when he came across non-duality. Today, Boyan supports others along the spiritual journey through one-to-one sessions and online events and programmes. He lovingly guides individuals and groups toward the understanding of the essential cause of their suffering, and to realise their innate wholeness. His approach is gentle but direct and especially well-suited for those who are ready to embrace life and live it fully.

Georgia Simone ~ Awakened Healing: Become The Space Where Healing Takes Place

Saturday, March 26, 2022 @ 10:00am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

Welcome to The Holding Space.

A space where we can gather together and BE exactly as we are

A space where the full spectrum of your human experience is invited

Calm, anxious, open, closed,

ALL is welcome here.

It's in this gentle embrace that everything can start to unravel. It's in this open space that we can begin to unwind the strategies that no longer serve us. This is the space that early mis-attunement failed to foster, the space where love blooms and new life can emerge. This is the space where all that quivers and shakes can come to rest, and where all that contorts can untwist into greater alignment.

Through gentle exploration and somatic awareness you can cultivate a new way of being with your most challenging patterns. No longer a victim of the push and pull of inner disturbance, you can step forward with greater confidence, knowing that whatever comes your way, you embody the resilience and the capacity to meet and integrate it.

You can expect a deeply held space where you’ll be invited to slow down, tune in, and track your present-moment experience. As you awaken and refine a more subtle way of Being and Being With, you can slowly but surely become the space – the container and the field – where healing takes place.

Bio:
The first leg of Georgia Simone’s path exposed her to the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, which provided her with the foundation she needed to dis-identify from pain and suffering. However, despite a growing freedom, a significant bypass took place, as her orientation towards transcendence reinforced her deep disconnection from Life. Upon seeing this, her focus became addressing the unresolved trauma that had woven its way into every fibre of her being.

After many years of wading through this marshland of conditioning, she now shares her discoveries with others. She believes that the spiritual path is as much about arriving here fully - as an embodied human being - as it is about dissolving into the infinite source that makes this life possible. How can we die to the absolute, while deeply embracing our relative human experience? This Living inquiry is her Life’s prayer.

How might true strength spring forth from vulnerability? Join Jeannie and friends to explore the nature of vulnerability and how it is the foundation for a sturdy heart.

Jeannie’s gift for inviting people to join her in resting and rooted presence evokes a deep meeting with oneself and reality. Within that, Jeannie’s humor and iconoclasm serve to bring people into an understanding that is beyond the intellectual. Through silent and guided meditation, spontaneous talks and exchange with participants, Jeannie will host a space of clarity and warmth where the richness of relating can be explored safely and your innermost questions met fully.

Jeannie Zandi is the director of Living as Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to seeding a culture of the Heart on the planet, inspiring, teaching and supporting people to live from their essence as Love. A year before the birth of her daughter, Jeannie was plunged into a dark night of the soul that culminated in a radical shift of consciousness. She is known for her fearless clarity, tender mercy toward humanness, and a juicy, poetic and often humorous style that draws from Advaita Vedanta, Sufism, Christian mysticism and the ongoing revelation of fully engaged living.

From susannemarie.org

"I became a seeker at the early age of seven. I felt like I was engaged in a losing battle with the conditioned trance of the adult world, rendering the felt sense of unity I had throughout my childhood for the most part, unconscious. I sought for that lost part in various ways over the course of my young adult life, leading to the study of yoga, meditation, and consciousness. Finding a direction that helped make sense of my life was a relief to my system. My goal was a return to wholeness.

Over time, I was led to a few remarkable teachers and teachings, as well as a variety of difficult life lessons which eventually cast me onto an empty shore where I could not sustain beliefs – even in what spirituality could give me. For a long time, accrued conditioning, both my own as well as collective, fell away as I unraveled back to essential nature.

Many realizations have occurred over the years, and I can now say that we humans are both more simple and more complex than I could have imagined. For seeking to end is a relief. Remembering intrinsic wholeness is a grace and helps make life meaningful. The revelation of the emptiness of true nature, while we move and live simultaneously as a human being, is a miracle and mystery – one for which I am grateful and which leads to my sharing."

Marlies Myoku Cocheret ~ Women Only: The Free Flowing Feminine

Saturday, April 2, 2022 @ 9:00am - 12:00 noon (Pacific Time)

A Way of Woman Gathering

During this Way of Woman – "WOW" – gathering, the whole of you is welcome! All desire and passion is welcomed as well as all feeling, sensation, body and emotion. Nothing is excluded.

Silence is the mystery of Her from which we spring, and is sensual in nature. When the female body arrives in awareness and silence, I call that the awakening sensual body.

Our female body is designed for pleasure and goodness. If a woman realizes how free and luscious she really is, the world can be changed in a split second. Nothing, including our own imprisoned self, is able to withstand the power of embodied love in female form. She is our Innermost, our beloved Self.

In the WOW journey you will connect with your Innermost and melt that into the sensuality of your beautiful female body. When you experience this, naturally you shine as who you are – the free flowing feminine.

Let's come together to journey and explore. There will be time for silence, movement, sensuality, questions and conversation.

Marlies Myoku Cocheret de la Morinière has devoted her life to the Beloved. She brings a potent invitation into the deep Silence that we are. The kindness of her gentle and direct teaching guides us home like a lighthouse. Marlies has been offering satsang and retreat since 2000 when Adyashanti asked her to teach. She lives in Santa Cruz, California and works internationally as a psychologist, Hakomi therapist and Tantric Educator.

Marlies is interviewed in the book Awakened Relating. A Guide To Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships by Lynn Marie Lumiere, and in the book Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom by R.M. Robinson.

“With Adya, the bottom fell out. I deeply knew I am not this body, mind, thought, psyche, and I am also all these things as well. There was no in and/or out. All is One.”

Loch Kelly ~ Effortless Mindfulness Embodied

Sunday, April 3, 2022 @ 10:00am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

“Loch Kelly is one of the clearest expressions of authentic awakened freedom and love that I know. He offers wise, loving medicine and direct, practical guidance which evolved from Loch’s vast experience and deep commitment to help others awaken to spiritual freedom.”
~ Adyashanti

Join Loch Kelly in this experiential workshop to learn effortless mindfulness as a way to shift out of your chattering mind and live from your awake heart-mind.  It is not enough to simply wake up out of our small self and try to maintain pure awareness. In order to live awake in relationships and work, we need to familiarize ourselves with what parts of us get in the way of living from embodied awake consciousness and how to include our full humanity.

In these challenging times, effortless mindfulness is ideal as it is done with small glimpses of our True Nature in compassionate relationship to any feelings that arise, with eyes open in the midst of everyday life.

Loch will draw from the ancient wisdom traditions, psychology, and current neuroscience research to point us beyond our small, separate sense of self to help us live from our already awake heart-mind.

Loch Kelly, M.Div., LCSW is an award-winning author of The Way of Effortless Mindfulness, a licensed psychotherapist, and recognized leader in the field of meditation and awakening. Loch graduated from Columbia University and received a fellowship to study in Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal. He has collaborated with neuroscientists at Yale, UPenn, and NYU in the study of how awareness training can enhance compassion and wellbeing. Loch is known for his warm sense of humor and his trust that awakening is the next natural stage of development. He teaches the advanced-yet-simple nondual pointers and direct methods of Effortless Mindfulness. Loch will be teaching a live 5 day retreat May 1st at Esalen and he has just released a mobile meditation program with Daily Glimpses, In Depth Programs and Community Support. Loch lives in upstate New York with his wife Paige and their cat Duffy. lochkelly.org/em
