Adam Chacksfield ~ Falling Open Together

Sunday, August 30, 2020 @ 10:00am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

Join Adam for Falling Open Together and invite more intimacy with the deeper movement of life through us and between us.

“We are invited to receive the ultimate gift, for which there is no substitute , worth infinitely more than all our dreams and fantasies. We accept this gift by simply falling open. When the heart and mind fall open, we find ourselves intimately present and completely available to what is here. Our struggle with reality dissolves into harmony.”

Described by Pamela Wilson as “a great messenger of truth with a unique transmission that does wonderful things for my spirit,” Adam invites us to share the direct experience of the heart and mind falling open. In this effortless opening, the suffering involved in resisting feelings and believing our thoughts spontaneously releases. This allows our natural abundance of joy, peace, wisdom and love to become apparent and available. Heart-centered and direct, Adam offers a path straight into the truth of who you are. Adam Chacksfield offers retreats worldwide exploring the depths that reveal that reveal themselves as we become more intimate with our embodied experience and the vibrantly alive field of relating. He also offers private sessions online and in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Saturday, September 5, 2020 @ 9:00am-12:00pm (Pacific Time)

Marlies Myoku Cocheret ~ The Beauty of These Times

Sunday, September 13, 2020 @ 9:00am - 11:00am (Pacific Time)

Join Marlies and friends for two online satsangs. You are invited to get curious and discover how we can use these times for the good and the awakening to the love-virus instead of the fear-virus.
Gandhi spoke something beautiful: “The enemy is fear. We think it is hate; but it is not hate, it is fear.”
Osho: "There is no virus in this world more dangerous than fear. Understand this fear, otherwise you will become a dead body before your body dies."

Fear clouds our minds and blocks true perception. But how can we work with this fear? We need to meet it and understand it. Then can we deeply know that the silence of being is the only true sanctuary. At that point, we relax completely and our actions are informed by the realized peace within. One truly sees the Beauty of these times and all times.

During satsang, Marlies guides us in meditation and gives a dharma talk. You are invited to share so please bring your experience, presence and questions.

This event will have two parts. You are welcome to attend either one or both:
Sunday Sept. 13, 9am - 11am, Pacific Time - register below
Friday Sept. 25, 10am -12noon, Pacific Time - register separate

The event will be recorded and emailed to participants after the meeting.

Marlies Myoku has devoted her life to the Beloved. She brings a potent invitation into the deep Silence that we are. The kindness of her gentle and direct teaching guides us home like a lighthouse. She helps people to see that freedom and peace lie not in escaping from difficulties, but rather in completely welcoming and receiving all that the Mystery presents.
She has been offering satsang and retreat since 2000 when Adyashanti asked her to teach. Marlies is trained as a psychologist in The Netherlands, a Hakomi therapist, and a Tantric educator. For over 25 years she has been ushering seekers into living the Divine in the body. She has a passion and a gift for bringing together the Sensual Body and the Silence of our Being.

She lives in Santa Cruz; California and works internationally. Marlies is interviewed in the book Awakened Relating. A Guide To Embodying Undivided love in Intimate Relationships by Lynn Marie Lumiere, and in the book Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom by R.M. Robinson

“With Adya, the bottom fell out. I deeply knew I am not this body, mind, thought, psyche, and I am also all these things as well. There was no in and/or out. All is One.”

Stephan Bodian ~ The Awakening Power of Relationship

Saturday, September 19, 2020 @ 9:00am-10:30am (Pacific Time)

Intimate relationships offer us the opportunity to awaken from the dream of separation and realize our essential oneness with all of life. At the same time, paradoxically, they stir up our deepest fears and reactive patterns and cause us untold suffering if we’re attached to our expectations and beliefs. In other words, relationships are a fertile ground for profound transformation.

In these times of social distancing, when intimacy with loved ones has become increasingly tenuous, we realize all the more how precious intimate relationships are to our emotional and spiritual well-being. In this satsang, we’ll explore the role of relationship as a sacred mirror that reveals our stuck places, core stories, and limited identities—as well as our genuine heartfelt devotion to truth—in order to free us to be more fully awake, authentic, and heartful with family, friends, and, in the most important relationship of all, ourselves.

This satsang will include guided meditation, teachings, and plenty of time for questions, dialogue, and discussion.

Stephan Bodian has been sharing the direct approach to spiritual awakening for more than 40 years. A former Buddhist monk, a licensed psychotherapist, and a longtime student of Advaita master Jean Klein, Stephan received Dharma transmission from Adyashanti in 2001. Since 2007 he has taught the annual months-long School for Awakening, which will begin again, in online form, in 2021. His books include Wake Up Now and Beyond Mindfulness.

Jeannie Zandi ~ The Unknown

Sunday, September 20, 2020 @ 10:00am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

From the perspective of the conditioned mind, when we can't find soothing reference points from which to construct a reassuring mental model of the world, we feel fear. But it's fear of life itself! Because outside of the mind, life happens, and no mental model is necessary. Join Jeannie and friends for an exploration of living from the unknown and some of the challenges that rise as we give ourselves over to the river of life.

Jeannie’s gift for inviting people to join her in resting and rooted presence evokes a deep meeting with oneself and reality. Within that, Jeannie’s humor and iconoclasm serve to bring people into an understanding that is beyond the intellectual. Through silent and guided meditation, spontaneous talks and exchange with participants, Jeannie will host a space of clarity and warmth where the richness of relating can be explored safely and your innermost questions met fully. Come join us!

Jeannie is the director of Living as Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to seeding a culture of the Heart on the planet, inspiring, teaching and supporting people to live from their essence as Love. A year before the birth of her daughter, Jeannie was plunged into a dark night of the soul that culminated in a radical shift of consciousness. She is known for her fearless clarity, tender mercy toward humanness, and a juicy, poetic and often humorous style that draws from Advaita Vedanta, Sufism, Christian mysticism and the ongoing revelation of fully engaged living. Residing in Colorado, she travels widely in the US, bringing a down-to-earth embodied teaching of living as love.

Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT ~ SOMATIC AWAKENING: Building Resilience

Saturday, September 26, 2020 @ 9:00am-12:00pm (Pacific Time)

In this webinar Lynn Marie will explore awakening in the body through somatic practises for balancing the nervous system and building more resilience and capacity for regulating stress and emotions. Being more regulated and resilient is very important for both healing our human wounding and our spiritual awakening. Building resilience is especially important at this time of global stress, uncertainty, and rapid change. When our nervous system is dis-regulated, it reacts to life as though we are in danger and it doesn’t feel safe to let go and relax. This interferes with our ability to be present with our moment to moment experience and access the ever-present awareness. As you relax and and quiet down with the help of somatic practises, we will deepen into self-inquiry and connect with the ultimate resilience—the Silence of Being.

It is recommended to attend live, but if you cannot, you can still register and receive the recordings. The practises are designed for you to do repeatedly on your own, or through listening to the recordings.

Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT is a nondual psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and author. She offers knowledge and wisdom gained from over 30 years of experience as a therapist as well as with nondual teachings. She is the author of Awakened Relating: A Guide to Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships and The Awakening West: Evidence of a Spreading Enlightenment.

Tilicho ~ Deep Dive into Awakening and Healing: 4th Chakra – 4-Hour Workshop

Sunday, September 27, 2020 @ 9:00am - 1:00pm (Pacific Time)

During this series of workshops with Tilicho, we inquire about our Real Nature and bring awareness and healing to the traumas and mind patterns preventing us from really being ourselves: from opening to the present moment as it is.

This session focuses on the fourth chakra: Giving and receiving love

You are invited to dive deep within, and from a place of Self-recognition, let all causes of suffering emerge to the surface, in a safe atmosphere of love, compassion and understanding.

Thanks to the very interactive format of the meeting, you’ll be able to receive personal guidance and suggestions about your awakening and healing journey.
We meet from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a half an hour break.

This workshop is part of a monthly series, where we explore ourselves chakra by chakra. You are welcome to attend the whole series, or join individual workshops, even if you have not attended the previous ones.

Tilicho spontaneously realized the Self in 1998 without following any teaching or practice. The absence of spiritual conditioning allowed her to see through the veils of spiritual idealism and illusions. She ended up spending thirteen years in Tiruvannamalai in south India, the seat of Ramana Maharshi and the sacred mountain, Arunachala. While recognizing the beauty of the Advaita teachings, she also observed that they can easily be misunderstood and distorted. Although the Self is eternally free from the world, it is not separate from it. Clarity does not exclude openness. Her teaching stresses the need to combine Masculine and Feminine qualities and approaches. It is an invitation to find unity within and without.
