Unmani ~ Longing to Be Free ~ 3-Part Online Retreat

Friday, June 24, 2022 @ 9:00am-11:00am (Pacific Time) - Part of 3-part Retreat June 24, 25 & 26

3-Part Online Retreat
June 24, 25 & 26, 2022
9:00 am – 11:00 am, Pacific Time, each day
Time Zone Converter
Event will be recorded and emailed to participants after each meeting.
You're welcome to join even if you can't attend all the live sessions.

In this 3 part event we will go deeper into the exploration of our longing and how this can open to the Freedom that we always are. How can we reconnect to our original longing beyond all concepts? And how can we live this longing and let it lead us to come home to who we really are? With guided meditations, talks and dialogues, we reconnect with our longing and wake up to the freedom that we are.

Day 1 - What is the Longing?
I invite you to remember what triggered your original longing to come home to yourself. Was it a particular event? Was it meeting a particular person? Was it a loss or tragedy? Or was this longing always there as long as you can remember? If we have been on the spiritual path for many years we might have got so caught up in spiritual concepts and hoping for some perfect ‘one day’, that we have forgotten why we even started this journey. In remembering the original longing we can start to reconnect with the innocent and true call home.

Day 2 - What is Freedom?
On this path we have picked up so many spiritual concepts about what it might mean to be free. We tend to want to be free from discomfort, fear and pain. But true freedom is not limited to any concept. It is not about being ‘free from’ but more about being ‘free with’. Freedom is who you are, and not about having a perfect experience.

Day 3 - Longing to be Free
Reconnecting to our original longing and then acknowledging that the freedom we have been longing for isn’t ‘out there’ or ‘one day’, we come full circle back to meeting the longing itself. What you have been longing for is already who you are. You are already free and always have been, despite any experience of apparent restriction. This is radical freedom that unconditionally includes whatever is here. Embracing our direct experience rather than waiting to be free from it, is what we have been longing for.

About Unmani
Meeting with Unmani is meeting with yourself in the most real and alive way. Unmani is originally from the UK, but has lived in many countries around the world. Since she was a child, Unmani didn’t identify with being a separate individual, but assumed there was something wrong with her, until she came across the expression of Satsang and nonduality. Truth has always been her passion. Unmani had teachers including Osho, Dolano, Nathan Gill, Tony Parsons, Gangaji and several other amazing people who are not considered ‘teachers’.

In 2013 she met her husband, the wonderful musician, and courageous lover of life, Robert Hanuman. In 2015 their son, Sky, was born. On 3rd January 2018, Robert Hanuman died suddenly from a heart attack while they were in India. Robert Hanuman’s presence deeply influenced Unmani’s teaching, and in the time they were together it evolved into a more human expression of the courage to live the paradox of the Absolute, living as this human. Robert put Unmani’s words to his beautiful classical guitar music and Unmani still plays his songs at her meetings.

Unmani has been holding meetings and retreats all over the world since 2003, and in this time people have been deeply touched by her work: She meets each person exactly where they are at, and in whatever they need at the time, while at the same time holding them in the truth of who they really are beyond it all. This combination, and paradox, of the personal and impersonal, brings so much depth, openness and healing to people’s lives. They wake up to who they really are, and discover how this is lived and integrated into their daily lives.

Unmani has written three books: I am Life itself, Die to Love and The Courage to Come Alive (soon to be published). Unmani holds regular meetings and retreats several times a year as well as monthly webinars on different themes. There are many videos of her teaching from the past nearly 20 years on her Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/Unmani

Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT ~ SOMATIC AWAKENING: Body-Mind-Spirit Embodiment

Saturday, July 23, 2022 @ 9:00am-12:00pm (Pacific Time)

Online Monthly Group Meetings

Although our true nature is not affected by all that we experience, our human body and mind are impacted by experiences that result in emotional wounding and trauma. Any experience, especially early in life, that is outside our window of tolerance, can overwhelm our nervous system and create chronic stress patterns in the body/mind. These stuck patterns can affect our spiritual awakening process by making it more difficult to relax, trust, be in the moment, and allow everything to be as it is—all of which are necessary for awakening and embodiment.

This ongoing monthly group will offer deep support for body-mind-spirit embodied awakening and healing so you can rest more deeply in the great peace, love and unity that resides in all of us.

We will do somatic practices for balancing the nervous system and building more capacity for regulating stress and emotions. Being more regulated is very important to both healing our human wounding and our spiritual awakening. We will also use the Flash Technique to release the charge on traumatic memories and loosen the grip of the negative beliefs that they create.

It is encouraged to attend the live session so you can receive the support of the group as well as Lynn Marie’s therapeutic support if needed. You are also welcome to register and attend by listening to the recording.

Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT is a nondual psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and author. She offers knowledge and wisdom gained from over 30 years of experience both as a therapist and with nondual spiritual teachings. She is the author of Awakened Relating:
A Guide to Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships
and The Awakening West: Evidence of a Spreading Enlightenment.

Drawn by our deepest longing, we gather in the invisible shrine.
At the door we leave our beliefs and our ideas. We enter barefoot. We are open. We are together in openness.

During this three-part retreat, we will welcome our direct experience and let it reveal its palpable reality of unconditional love. Within it the layers of suffering that seem to keep us separate from the totality naturally surface.

Our particular focus is our body, allowing it to be our mirror and our pathway, our prayer, and our cry and ultimately the shining expression of our shared essence and unique individual shape.

Together, we will listen to its tactile, emotional, and energetic language and allow it to simply unfold and blossom in its natural original intelligence.

Along the way, held traumas find open pathways, tensions touch the possibility of relaxation, stories find fresh formulations, expression is liberated, and we may discover the effortless movement of healing.

There will be time for sharing each day as our inquiry deepens, and a 20-30 minute break during the 3-hour sessions.

Ellen’s deepest intuition was confirmed when she met her teacher, Francis Lucille. In his presence, she recognized the eternal, limitless and universal nature of our shared reality. Over many years, her understanding has continued to deepen and to touch all levels of experience. At the same time, she has never ceased exploring her individual journey, always curious to live at the interface between the very personal trajectory of her life and the pure intimacy of Presence.

More and more, she senses that each of our lives is a path of revelation and integration, (including its darker crossings), through which the face of truth can shine uniquely and anew, wedding us to our direct experience of Awareness and connecting us to the great family of creation.
