I believe that no one on this planet has escaped experiencing some trauma in varying degrees. We often think of trauma as only related to big events such as war or serious abuse. However, it has to do with any stress outside the range of our nervous system’s window of tolerance. This has more of an impact if experienced in childhood and can involve even minor accidents or something that did or did not happen in relationship to our caregivers that caused harm. This can occur even with the most well-intentioned parents.

Peter Levine, one of the world’s leading trauma experts, defined trauma as “the inability to be present with what is.” This ability is most often required to awaken to our deeper nature and embody that in our lives. Skillful means can be used to regulate the nervous system and expand our window of tolerance to make it more possible to rest in being and be present with our experience.

True trauma healing happens somatically, in the body, and has the potential of leading to the direct experience of embodied Presence. This webinar will be an introduction to this embodied healing and will include learning somatic skills for being more present, and a somatic guided meditation. You are encouraged to attend in person and are welcome to attend by recording as well.
