From the time we’re very young, we begin learning who we’re supposed to be. We absorb countless messages about what it means to be a woman or a man, which emotions are acceptable, how we’re expected to love, speak, lead, care, and belong. Much of this conditioning happens so early and so subtly that we mistake it for the truth.
Beneath these learned roles is a heart that longs to love freely and live truthfully.
In this gathering, we’ll explore the ways gender conditioning can shape our expression of love, our relationship with vulnerability and strength, our ability to receive and to give, and the quiet compromises we make in order to be accepted. Rather than judging or rejecting the conditioning we’ve received, we’ll approach it with compassion, recognizing that these adaptations were often born from a deep desire for love and belonging.
As we bring this conditioning into awareness, question it, meet the underlying pain, fear and challenge that lies beneath it, the heart naturally starts to reclaim the qualities it has hidden, and we discover a way of being that is more authentic, more whole, and more deeply aligned with our essential nature.
