Engaged Nonduality:
Acting from the Wellspring of Essential Nature

with With Stephanie Lopez and Lisa Ferguson

Recording will be emailed to participants within a week.
You’re welcome to join even if you can’t attend the live session.

As modern life becomes more complicated each of us faces a multitude of personal, political, and ecological challenges. As spiritual practitioners, our calling is to navigate the metacrisis with integrity and right action. This requires practices that allow for skillful listening both within ourselves and to others, as we open to our authentic response. In these moments, the wellspring of Essential Nature serves as a ground from which we can rest, nourish, renew, and engage.

Drawing on practices of iRest yoga nidra, somatic inquiry, and relational psychology, we’ll dive into restorative practices and ways of being that inform how we meet each moment as it is.

Together we’ll explore:

  • How subtle listening and ‘allowing what is’ may reveal our calling that arises from the reality of the moment
  • The stabilizing force of grounded presence and embodied peace
  • iRest practices that support skillful means to metabolize intense emotions and core beliefs to reveal messages that bring clarity in action
  • An intuitive inner knowing as we meet each moment
  • Ways of listening inspired by Julian of Norwich that cultivates living as an expression of Essential Nature

In this session Stephanie will share a talk, practices and invite somatic inquiries in relationship to participant’s questions and shares.

The Engaged Nonduality series
This Engaged Nonduality series, hosted by Lisa Ferguson, explores how nondual wisdom may respond to our world in crisis. We live in a time of multiple intersecting crises that threaten the wellbeing of all life, including climate breakdown, unaligned tech and AI, injustice, war and authoritarianism. The recognition of nonduality has much to offer in these times, including a deep knowing of our wholeness and shared Being, as well as opening to the wellspring of our wise and creative response. This series invites guest presenters to explore how nondual teaching may respond to planetary crises through talks, practices and group participation.

Stephanie Lopez, LISW, C-IAYT, is the Senior Director of Philosophy & Learning and Senior iRest Trainer for iRest Institute.
