Dorothy Hunt ~ Forgiving the Dream

Saturday, October 25, 2025 @ 9:30am-11:30am (Pacific Time)

If we go deeply enough into any feeling,
we cannot help but bump up against our true nature.
~ Dorothy Hunt

What occurs between the feeling of “I can’t forgive,” and realizing “there is no one TO forgive?” In this exploration, we will exclude any “shoulds,” and focus on what is real, what is true, and what is here beneath our judgments, anger, hurts, and fears. Are we curious and courageous enough to look deeply? What happens when we find ourselves in a bigger energy field than the wounds and identities we seem to carry? What happens when our own pain is met with loving compassion? Perhaps compassion may arise for those whose own suffering created the conditions for being cruel, unkind, or unloving.

When something truly awakens to who/what we are, we may realize we have been living in a dream of Separation that really isn’t true. If all of life is an expression of the “One without a second,” who is there to forgive? And yet, the Love we most deeply ARE, may one day move to forgive both the dreamer and the dream.

I understand the wounds
That have not healed in you.
They exist
Because God and Love
Have yet to become real enough
To allow you to forgive
The dream . . .
–Hafiz, from ”Forgive the Dream”
