Aisha Salem ~ Ground of Being

Saturday, March 23, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Aisha Salem is a deeply realized woman of Truth. She has been living the unfolding of her Being through 17 years of radical surrender and been teaching for 15 years across the world. Aisha lives in Denmark with a growing community and is the founder of Gateway, which is the name of a container for exploration, investigation and realization of reality in everything from the deepest intimacy to the widest expanse of Truth.

The teaching of Aisha Salem invites to relax into the fire of Truth. It is an invitation into the deepest Intimacy with Reality as the meeting with your Self as every aspect of Reality – from your Empty and pre-existential Core, over your recognition as Love and One Being and all the way into your Humanness and true bowing to the Ground.

It is an invitation to that meeting with yourself, which requires a full face-off with Reality – as the full relaxation into the Ground of Being. The invitation is both Vast, Wide and Deep. The Vast part of it, is for your recognition as Emptiness, which truly brings Freedom and pure Brilliance by the birth of pure and Mind. The Diamond – Clear, Sharp and Bright. The Wider part of the invitation, is for your recognition of yourself as pure and Universal Spirit – able and ready to move across every existential layer as True Action of your Being recognised as Love itself.

The deepest part of the invitation, is what brings all of the pieces together – it is for your enjoyment and fulfilment as a True Human Being and is Your exhale down into the Holding of the body as pure Consciousness. For the Healing and Wholeness of your human state, as you relax into the Core of the body and dissolution of the somebodiness on Ground – being real and present with what is pleasant as well as unpleasant – for a full blossoming to and fulfilment of the sweetness, passion and innocence of your True, Natural and Individual Self.

Every angle of the teaching of Aisha Salem has the single and One-pointed direction of emerging as the True Human – emptied of identification (the twist away from Reality) and Naked to Reality through both mind, heart and belly/ground.

Tom Kurzka ~ Rest in Being: The Love of Your Life

Sunday, March 31, 2019 @ 10:00am-12:00pm (Pacific Time)

You are invited to join Tom as we explore this experience called me and my world. We’ll begin with an introduction followed by a brief guided meditation, then open dialogue. There is no question or concern that is too unworthy to be addressed. Often the most deep rooted problems are our gateway to the Love that we all are. Through this process Tom holds a sweet tender kindness that makes many who work with him feel held and safe. Within this supportive framework our full humanness is embraced and touched. As we radically accept and meet the worst of the worst, a gentle piercing happens as the entirety of our human experience melts in Being’s all-embracing arms, this ever present Love. We see that we are that Love, this sweetness that unconditionally holds our humanness.

In 2000, after a lifelong battle trying to hold onto his false sense of a separate self, Tom’s fight against Reality spontaneously ended, resulting in a shift into unitive consciousness or Being. Shortly thereafter, Tom was asked to share and has since been holding small group meetings at his home in Oregon and also with a group in Virginia. Tom is known for his humility and a profound acceptance of what is. The guidance moving through him has flavors of Advaita Vedanta, Sufism, Buddhism and, most importantly, an ongoing revelation of living in the moment.

Marlies Myoku Cocheret ~ The Deepest Love Affair : Being Human

Sunday, April 14, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

When the awareness of the perfection of all that is taken away & all that is given penetrates to the bone, we find ourselves on the narrow path. The narrow path means there is no room for anything but resting as the silence of our being and the total receiving of our humanity. That is the practice. Sounds really simple, yet not that easy.

It takes courage and curiosity to open ourselves completely to the practice resting as silence. It becomes easier to receive wholeheartedly our humanity in all its forms, sounds, feelings, and sensations. This is the deepest love affair - the coming together of our humanity and our divinity as one. Our stories start melting away. Step by step we are identifying with the one ground of being. From there we move in the world as human-beings. Is there anything else you wish for?

Most of the events Marlies offers are around this topic. Daring to dive in with clear intention, living as the fullness of your being. Life will show you every step of the way. Which She has done all along for all of us? Can you trust that now?!

Marlies Myoku has devoted her life to the Beloved. She brings a potent invitation into the deep Silence that we are. The kindness of her gentle and direct teaching guides us home like a lighthouse. She helps people to see that freedom and peace lie not in escaping from difficulties, but rather in completely welcoming and receiving all that the Mystery presents.

She has been offering satsang and retreat since 2000 when Adyashanti asked her to teach. Marlies is trained as a psychologist in The Netherlands, a Hakomi therapist, and a Tantric educator.  For over 25 years she has been ushering seekers into living the Divine in the body. She has a passion and a gift for bringing together the Sensual Body and the Silence of our Being.

She lives in Santa Cruz; California, but works internationally. Marlies is interviewed in the book Awakened Relating. A Guide To Embodying Undivided love in Intimate Relationships by Lynn Marie Lumiere, and in the book Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Wisdom by R.M. Robinson

“With Adya, the bottom fell out. I deeply knew I am not this body, mind, thought, psyche, and I am also all these things as well. There was no in and/or out. All is One.”

Susanne Marie ~ The Wisdom of No Escape

Sunday, May 5, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Sometimes the only way to be free of something is to allow yourself to be fully trapped. Our desire to escape suffering creates it's own bondage. Most of us are initially drawn to spirituality with the understandable desire to feel better and in general to be released from suffering.

But this desire in itself plays into the belief that something needs to be done about how we are feeling. That we need to somehow disappear a feeling by replacing it with bliss or peace, or whatever we imagine freedom to be.

But the truth of reality is that all is One. Which means that what you are feeling and trying to escape is part of totality. By wishing something away, we are setting ourselves up to be at odds with an aspect of ourselves. Truth is inclusive, meaning that what you are feeling and experiencing is included in what you are.

Bio:
Featured in conversation with Adyashanti on Buddha at the Gas Pump as well as recently on Conscious TV, Susanne Marie offers teachings in support of freedom, sacred mutuality, and the celebration of our common essence of love and unity with all life. Her work is transformational and empowering, as she points to the remembering of That which we have always been, allowing truth to become ever more conscious of itself through a human life.

Susanne, the parent of two young adults, divides her time between Taos, New Mexico, and Northern California, and offers spiritual mentoring as well as Grace Healing Sessions to individuals and groups.

Lynn Marie Lumiere ~ The Challenge of Staying Awake in Relationship

Sunday, June 2, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

As we awaken to the Presence of our true nature and come to rest as that more and more, we are naturally moved to relate from Presence rather than from our conditioned, ego identity. Yet, this can be challenging in many ways. Our conditioning and relational wounding gets triggered the most in close relationship. This can happen in all meaningful relationships—friends, lovers, bosses, and family. Being awake in relationship is not about being in peace and harmony without ever having conflict. We don’t need to get rid of conflict or our triggers; we need to learn how to meet them from Presence. Then the fierce grace of what relationship brings up is a profound gift that brings healing and more awakened relating rather than the suffering we are so familiar with.

In this webinar, Lynn Marie will share her presence and clarity, as well as wisdom derived from many years of experience as a nondual psychotherapist, through offering teaching, guided meditation and dialogue. Her work is dedicated to awakening consciousness and meeting life’s challenges as doorways to greater freedom and is informed by over 40 years of dedicated spiritual and psychological exploration as well as almost 30 years of both committed partnership and practicing psychotherapy. Lynn Marie is a contributing author of The Sacred Mirror: Nondual Wisdom and Psychotherapy, and the author of Awakened Relating: A Guide to Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships. She lives in Grass Valley, CA and offers people from all over the world online spiritual mentoring and nondual therapy. For more information, please see www.lynnmarielumiere.com

Maja Apolonia Rodé ~ The Dance of Perspectives

Sunday, June 9, 2019 @ 12pm-2pm (Pacific Time)

Pacific Time (San Francisco, CA, USA) Time Zone Converter

Truth is a shimmering jewel. Simultaneously undivided and multi-faceted, it reflects the light of consciousness in unique ways depending on our perspective. We each encounter a vast array of perspectives — in our direct experience and as expressed by the people we meet along the way, including teachers and fellow travelers. Understanding the interplay of perspectives within ourselves and among each other is deeply helpful both in the quest for truth and the living of it.

In this online session, Maja will share playful and profound reflections on the dance of perspectives including:

• new and ancient teaching stories that offer a lighthearted look at our blind spots and overcoming them

• two 10-year lessons learned — one catalyzed by an unexpected exchange with the late nondual teacher H.W.L. Poonja in India, and the other by a disagreement with Adyashanti

• the two perspectives that are vital for any quest for truth

• the simple shift of perspective that helps in most any situation

The session will include quiet time for reflection and contemplative dialogues to share your fresh insights and support your unfolding expression.

About Maja

Maja Apolonia Rodé cultivates a world where consciousness, creativity, and community flower for the benefit of all. In all her expressions — from playing her magical zithers to teaching sacred arts, from contemplative conversations to crowd-pleasing raps, from playful party games to professional presentations — Maja is constantly inspired to find and harvest the sweet fruits of presence, beauty, and truth in herself and the people she is with. She is inspired by the possibility of living our most noble and joyful potentials — individually and collectively.

In 1995, while earning her PhD in Transpersonal Psychology, a nondual shift in perspective focused Maja on a course in life that is slowly but surely devoted in service to All. A lifelong student of human potential, she began actively cultivating potential in others in the early 1990s through hypnotherapy, sport psychology, facilitating creative processes for self exploration, and eventually a 17-year “dharma gardening” adventure: supporting Adyashanti and his students as the first employee and Creative Director of Open Gate Sangha. Now, another life-changing shift has her dancing the first steps of a new as-yet-undefined creative adventure.

The daughter of a technology pioneer, Maja grew up immersed in the true heart of Silicon Valley, which holds a field of creative innovation and world-changing impact. She currently lives in the foothills of the valley with a glorious view of Black Mountain, her first and most deeply rooted teacher of consciousness. In-person one-on-one sessions, classes, and gatherings (when she begins to offer them again) will take place at this inspiring location.

Loch Kelly ~ The Way of Effortless Mindfulness

Sunday, June 30, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

10 am to 12 noon (Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA) Time Zone Converter

Awakening is always already here, whether we recognize it or not. And, there is an unfolding, which can become the next natural stage of human development. If our true nature is already here, does awakening only happen unintentionally, or is there a way to intentionally realize and live from this? It seems clear that our will, the “doer,” our best effort, our attention and our ego can’t awaken.

So what is it that can awaken? It seems it is only awake awareness that can know awake awareness. But where, oh where, is this awake awareness that can know? In The Way of Effortless Mindfulness, I explore the ways that local awake awareness can know spacious awake awareness, and then welcome everything as interconnected love. This unique “method-less method” does not ask the “doer” to do anything. Instead, it begins by asking your already awake awareness to detach, unblend, or “unhook” from its identification with the small separate sense of self. Effortless mindfulness is a unique form of direct realization and inquiry.

In The Secret of the Golden Flower, it is said that the sublime truth is “turning the light of awareness around.” In Tibetan Buddhism, this is called “child awareness returning to mother awareness,” “looking back at your own face” or “flashing on awakened heart-mind.” The key is to be able to feel awareness immediately separate from thinking and return home to open-hearted awareness.

In this live online session, we will explore practical ways of experiencing local awareness unhook from the separate sense of self. Then, instead of getting caught in a pure awareness witness or not-knowing, we learn to shift into the embodied “not-knowing that knows.” This open-hearted awareness is a new operating system, which has the capacity to liberate traumatic karmic patterns and heal shadow parts.

Loch Kelly is author of the newly released guidebook, The Way of Effortless Mindfulness. He is a psychotherapist and awakening teacher affiliated with Adyashanti. He is the founder of the non-profit Open-Hearted Awareness Institute, whose goal is to make compassionate awakening more available to everyone. After a spontaneous awakening early in his life, he went on to explore how to access, abide in, and help others live from open-hearted awareness. In the early 1980’s, Loch was awarded a fellowship while at Columbia University to study forms of non-dual meditation in Sri Lanka, India and Nepal with teachers from a variety of traditions, including legendary Dzogchen and Mahamudra masters, such as Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche.

He has also worked extensively with the homeless, with families of 9/11 victims, and as an Inter-spiritual Chaplain at Union Theological Seminary. Loch has collaborated with neuroscientists at Yale, UPenn and NYU in the study of how awareness training enhances compassion and wellbeing. He is known for his warm sense of humor, and his practical, non-dual pointers, which help people shift into the freedom that has always been their true nature. His previous book, Shift Into Freedom: The Science and Practice of Open-Hearted Awareness, was awarded two “Best Books of the Year Awards.”

Lynn Marie Lumiere ~ The Healing Power of Awareness ~ 3 Day Online Retreat

Friday, July 12, 2019 @ July 13th, July 14th

Online Retreat with Lynn Marie Lumiere

The Healing Power of Awareness:
Transforming our Relationship with our Self and Others

July 12, 13, 14 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
10 am to 1:00 pm
(Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA)
Time Zone Converter

This retreat will bring together nondual awakening and nondual psychology, which can facilitate a true healing of our relationship with our self and others. Awakening to our deeper nature alone will not necessarily dissolve the self-hatred so many of us carry in our ego-identity as well as the relational wounding that is held in the body-mind and causes problems in our relationships. And, the ego-identity is incapable of transforming this. It is when awareness meets our psychological wounding that it is freed to return to its original nature, allowing its qualities to shine through our humanness in all our relating.

We will weave between awakening to our essential nature and bringing that to our psychological suffering for healing and transformation. The focus will be as follows:

  • Day 1: Awakening Awareness: How to awaken awareness and stabilize as that. Discussion about how to releases the grip of ego conditioning.
  • Day 2: Self-Love: How to bring awareness to our self-negativity and release it into true self-love.
  • Day 3: Relationship to Others: Healing our relational wounding through self-inquiry and the practice of awakened relating.

This retreat will offer guided meditation, dialogue and experiential exploration, including psychological process and spiritual inquiry.

It would be helpful to read Lynn Marie's book Awakened Relating as part of this retreat (not required).

This Retreat consists of:

  • Three live and interactive 3-hour meetings with Lynn Marie in Zoom (a total of 9 hours)
  • Audio and video recordings of all meetings

Sliding scale: $50 - $90

Lynn Marie Lumiere ~ Awareness: The Alchemical Solvent

Sunday, August 4, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

As we awaken to the ever-present awareness and bring that directly to our psychological, emotional conditioning, wounding, and sense of separate identity, it is transformed, healed and dissolved. Awareness is the only solution that has the power to dissolve our sense of separate identity, one thought, feeling, belief, sensation and perception at a time. We cannot do this from the conditioned mind. Only from the vantage of awareness can we fully meet all of our human experience and see it for what it truly is—passing phenomena taken to be a self. This requires recognizing the presence of awareness and inquiring from/as that into our experience as it arises and then falls away back into its source. This webinar will include a talk, guided meditative inquiry, and dialogue.

In this webinar, Lynn Marie will share her presence and clarity, as well as wisdom derived from many years of experience as a nondual psychotherapist, through teaching, guided meditation and dialogue. Her work is dedicated to awakening consciousness and bringing that to our psychological and emotional issues in order to transform them and become free of identification with them. Lynn Marie is a contributing author of The Sacred Mirror: Nondual Wisdom and Psychotherapy, and the author of Awakened Relating: A Guide to Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships. She lives in Grass Valley, CA and offers online spiritual mentoring and nondual psychotherapy. For more information, please see www.lynnmarielumiere.com

Tom Kurzka ~ Rest in Being: The Love of Your Life

Sunday, August 18, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Richard Miller ~ Just Say “Yes”

Sunday, August 25, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

If to say it once, and once only, then still to say: Yes. And say it complete; say it as if the word filled the whole moment with its absolute saying. Later for "but," Later for "if." Now only the single syllable that is the beloved, that is the world. ~ Gregory Orr

The role of the six senses is to divide what is ever indivisible. Awakening reveals our 7th sense that knows only unity: ‘This’ that is always whole, ever present, that knows only love.
Saying, “Yes,” to each moment affirms our life as unitive love in action. “Yes,” acknowledges our ability to embrace radical authenticity and intimacy with ourselves and with every person and situation we encounter.
Join Richard for this Open Circle online inquiry into our unchanging ground of timeless Being, Awareness, and what lies beyond that underlies and pervades all changing states. Richard’s presentation entails guided meditation, a talk, and spirited intimate dialogue.

“Awakening to nondual Being reveals that all seeking is not for intimacy of object to object, but of the Self with Itself, where no separate other exists.” ~ Richard

Richard's teachings are based upon a lifetime of inquiry into the nature of freedom. Following a series of awakenings all sense of separation fell away while working with his spiritual mentor, Jean Klein. Richard experiences this awakening as always fresh and alive, yet forever opening to itself. Author of iRest Meditation: Restorative Practices for Health, Resiliency, and Well-Being, Yoga Nidra: The Meditative Heart of Yoga, and The iRest Program For Healing PTSD, Richard is the founder of the iRest Institute, and co-founder of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and Institute for Spirituality and Psychology. As well as leading spiritual retreats, Richard is researching the effectiveness of the iRest Meditation protocol that he has developed with soldiers, veterans, students, children, the homeless and people experiencing issues such as PTSD, substance abuse, sleep disorders and chronic pain. Lynn Marie Lumiere ~ Awareness: The Solution in Which Problems Dissolve ~ 3 Day Online Retreat

Friday, October 4, 2019 @ Oct 5th, Oct 6th

A 3 Day Psycho-Spiritual Online Retreat with Lynn Marie Lumiere

Awareness: The Solution in Which Problems Dissolve

October 4th, 5th, 6th (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
10 am to 1:00 pm
(Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA)
Time Zone Converter

This retreat will bring together nondual psychology and nondual wisdom to focus on both waking up and resolving the inner problems we live with such as depression, anxiety, shame, low self-worth, insecurity, and stress. These inner problems create outer problems such as addictions and issues with health, finances and relationships. We cannot resolve these problems within the conditioned ego-mind that created them in the first place. We must also recognize and rely on the Awareness that is the context for all that we experience and is always and already free of all problems. We can then resolve our issues from, or as, this problem-free, thought-free, resistance-free Awareness.

You are invited to come together with others who are also struggling with the challenges of both waking up and being with the problems we are faced with in life. We will focus on simple, practical ways to do this, as well as guided meditation, sharing and processing. You are invited to begin where you are, with acceptance and compassion, as you learn news ways to be in relationship to life’s challenges.

Tilicho ~ Be Yourself: Self-Enquiry and Self-Healing

Sunday, October 20, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

10 am to 12 noon (Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA) Time Zone Converter

“Freedom is not a state of being. Freedom is Clarity. When you know who you truly are, you stop judging your thoughts and emotions. You stop identifying with them. Whether you feel sad, happy, emotional or peaceful does not matter anymore. Clarity allows the embrace of the present moment as it is. It brings healing. Eventually Love, Peace and Joy bloom from the seed of inner acceptance.”

“Do not look for anything, my friends, with the exception of Truth. Do not pretend anything. Do not wear the masks of love, peace or silence. Without pretense, Self-realisation is always Here and Now.”

Tilicho spontaneously realized the Self in 1998 without following any teaching or practice. The absence of spiritual conditioning allowed her to see through the veils of spiritual idealism and illusions. She ended up spending thirteen years in Tiruvannamalai in south India, the seat of Ramana Maharshi and his sacred mountain, Arunachela. While recognizing the beauty of the Advaita teachings, she also observed that they can easily be misunderstood and distorted. Although the Self is eternally free from the world, it is not separate from it. Clarity does not exclude openness. Her teaching stresses the need to combine Masculine and Feminine qualities and approaches. It is an invitation to find unity within and without, not only for the sake of oneself but for the sake of the world, as both are ultimately inseparable.

Satsang with Tilicho consists of 15 minutes of silence, followed by Q&A on any relevant topics of spirituality and personal development. It also involves healing practice.

“May all beings realize who they truly are! Om Sat Chit Ananda.”

Lynn Marie Lumiere ~ Rest In Natural Great Ease: In the Midst of Life’s Challenges

Sunday, October 27, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

10 am to 12 noon (Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA) Time Zone Converter

REST IN NATURAL GREAT EASE
In the Midst of Life’s Challenges

At the center of all experience, no matter how difficult, is a natural ease or peace. Freedom from suffering is found by relaxing our resistance to what is and tapping into the natural ease of our Being. From there, we access the insight, clarity and strength needed to address our issues. Once we learn to ride the waves of life’s challenges and let them be, the waves tend to become calmer and the natural ease becomes a more predominant experience. In this webinar, we will share guided meditation, dialogue and support for both recognizing our innate peace and meeting our challenges from here.

Lynn Marie shares her presence and clarity, as well as the wisdom derived from many years of experience as a nondual psychotherapist. Her work is dedicated to awakening consciousness and meeting life’s challenges as doorways to greater freedom. Lynn Marie is a contributing author of The Sacred Mirror: Nondual Wisdom and Psychotherapy, as well as On the Mystery of Being: Contemporary Insights on the Convergence of Science and Spirituality, and is the author of Awakened Relating: A Guide to Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships. She lives in Grass Valley, CA and offers people from all over the world online spiritual mentoring and nondual therapy. For more information, please see www.lynnmarielumiere.com

Stephan Bodian ~ Just Be Who You Are!

Sunday, November 10, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

“Just be who you are.” This simple injunction from Ramana Maharshi has the potential to cut through all our conditioning and invite us to return directly to our very own true self. The first step involves penetrating through to our deepest, groundless ground and abiding in unconditional, nondual presence. No self, no other, just This, the one without a second! This is what I AM.

But the next step is often the more challenging: Clearly expressing the light and the love that we’ve realized ourselves to be through this tender, imperfect human form. Remembering and abiding as who we are amid the many challenges of intimate relationships and work in the world. Knowing who we are, how do we keep getting hooked in and forgetting—and how can we snap out of the trance of separation and return home?

Let’s meet together in satsang to explore this dance of embodying the light. Includes teachings, guided meditation, and ample time for dialogue and discussion.

Stephan Bodian has been sharing the direct approach to spiritual awakening for more than 40 years. A former Buddhist monk and a longtime student of Advaita master Jean Klein, Stephan received Dharma transmission from Adyashanti in 2001. Since 2007 he has taught the annual months-long School for Awakening, which will begin again, in online form, in January 2020. His books include Wake Up Now and Beyond Mindfulness.

Pamela Wilson ~ The Love That Does Not Come or Go ~ 4-day Online Retreat

Tuesday, November 19, 2019 @ Nov 22, 26, 29, 2019

Let’s all gather with curiosity and innocent noticing within to become aware of the constancy of Love. Love is everywhere present, yet overlooked as it does not move! It adores being seen and unseen. Invoked by friendship, devotion and gratitude, it blooms revealing itself as that which holds everything and animates. So many names it has, including ours, it is tender and strong, fierce and subtle. Wise and still curious. Intimate and reserved, all-knowing and empty of the past, though it has seen it all.

To live as this is relaxing. Life, serene, strong and satisfied!
Nothing is required to return to this our naturalness, but it likes when Awareness notices and feeds it! Shall we?

This Retreat consists of 4 live and interactive 2-hour Satsangs with Pamela in Zoom (a total of 8 hours).

Pamela evokes through dialogue, inquiry and her very presence the qualities of unconditional love and radical acceptance. Tilicho ~ On Spiritual Concepts and Paradoxes

Saturday, December 7, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Tilicho offers a series of four satsangs "Seeing Through the Mist of Spiritual Concepts and Paradoxes" to help having a clear vision of the ocean of Consciousness.

Spiritual teachings generally focus on Self-knowledge (finding who we really are) or on the mind (self-integration). Yet, is the ocean of consciousness separate from the waves (the movements of the mind as thoughts and emotions)?

Depending on angles of perception, spiritual vocabulary and concepts vary. This often creates confusion in the mind of spiritual seekers. This serie of satsangs is an invitation to inquire and gain clarity. When the veils of illusion are removed, the ever present jewel of the Heart is revealed

Tilicho satsangs start with 15mns of silence, followed by Q&A. Her teaching unfolds according to your questions.

Satsang 1: On Spiritual Concepts and Paradoxes - December 7th

What is really meant by non-doing, surrender, silence, stillness? Is the path efforless or does it require vigilance? What is Reality? What is time? Can worldly life and sexuality co-exist with spirituality? You are invited to explore and clarify all sorts of concepts and ideas.

Satsang 2: On Truth (date coming soon)

Satsang 3: On Non-duality (date coming soon)

Satsang 4: On Sat-Chit-Ananda: the Trinity (date coming soon)

Who are you? What is wholeness? What is the Real meaning of the Trinity? What are the obstacles to realise it? What is the source of harmony, within and without? You are invited to have clarity on the most ancient and unconscious knot of human mind and history.

Tilicho will also offer a comprehensive teaching "From Self-knowledge to self-integration: Initiation into Love and Freedom". In order to register to this serie of "Initiation Retreats", previous participation in all four satsangs as well as in the workshop "Setting the Fondation" is requested.

About Tilicho
Tilicho spontaneously realized the Self in 1998 without following any teaching or practice. The absence of spiritual conditioning allowed her to see through the veils of spiritual idealism and illusions. She ended up spending thirteen years in Tiruvannamalai in south India, the seat of Ramana Maharshi and the sacred mountain, Arunachala. While recognizing the beauty of the Advaita teachings, she also observed that they can easily be misunderstood and distorted. Although the Self is eternally free from the world, it is not separate from it. Clarity does not exclude openness. Amoda Maa ~ Standing as Openness in the Face of Brokenness and Loss

Sunday, December 8, 2019 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Join Amoda in an intimate dialogue that invites you to reject nothing, welcome everything, and surrender into the deepest falling of the open heart. Includes a silent and/or guided meditation, discourse, and ample time for questions and answers.

Listen to the visitors who knock on your heart … knocking from the inside. Shame, pain, loneliness, grief and more … all these are your allies not your foes. They yearn to come in, to be acknowledged, accepted, loved. For what is broken is the doorway to gold, what is shattered is the entrance to inconceivable love, what brings you to your knees is not a punishment but God’s invitation. Your brokenness is holy.”

Amoda is a contemporary spiritual teacher, offering meetings and retreats to support and deepen the living of an awakened life. She has been sharing her teachings since 2012, initially at small gatherings in the UK. Today, she lives in the US and her teachings are followed by a growing number of seekers world-wide. She is the author of Embodied Enlightenment, as well as Radical Awakening and Change Your Life, Change Your World. While often referred to as a ‘nondual teacher,’ she prefers to emphasize the full embracement of the human experience as a path to liberation. She brings to her teachings a depth and breadth of understanding of the human journey, born out her own immersion in the furnace of personal transformation.

Her teaching stresses the need to combine Masculine and Feminine qualities and approaches. It is an invitation to find unity within and without.

Stephan Bodian ~ Working with Trauma on the Path of Awakening

Sunday, January 19, 2020 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

When I asked my first Zen teacher about becoming a monk, he said, “Monasteries are places for desperate people.” Many of us are drawn to the spiritual path because of the suffering we experience as the result of early-life trauma, be it childhood abuse or neglect, life-threatening experiences, or repeated situations where our physical or emotional survival or integrity seem to be at stake.

Compared with the ordinary range of painful life experiences, trauma has a unique impact on the psyche and the nervous system that can complicate the awakening process and leave us feeling especially frightened, isolated, or unintegrated.

In this satsang, we’ll explore how to relate to the effect our trauma continues to have on our lives, in the context of awakening. Includes teachings, guided meditation, and dialogue.

Tom Kurzka ~ Meeting Difficult Energies — Integrating Presence with Fully Living Here

Sunday, January 26, 2020 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Every time we stop, we taste a gap in the experience, spacious awareness, that which is always here as the background and holding for the life experience, much like the blank white screen in the movie theater upon which the images of the movie appear. We know this simple truth intellectually and also to a certain extent in our Heart. But then the challenges of life sweep us away from this simple knowing, usually in the form of difficult energies that overwhelm us. We want to run and hide, we feel abandoned and lost. We overeat, we abuse substances, we distract, we try to escape, but the difficult energies continue to chase us. And yet, we’re told to just meet the difficult energies directly and they will dissolve back into spacious awareness. Easier said than done, because the difficult energies are our worse nightmare.

In this event we will gently explore ways in which we can get more comfortable in our own human skin, including the parts that we can’t stand. We will cover:

  • Four common ways of dealing with difficult energies: suppression, pushing away, spacious embrace, and wisdom action guided by spacious embrace.
  • How to use the breath and the intensity of the difficult energies as an ally, an anchor to the present moment, to overcome the habitual tendency of the reactive mind to run and hide or to fight back.
  • Acknowledging and soothing our distrust in life as a means of establishing trust in the living Presence of Life itself to hold the vulnerability of our humanness.

About Tom
After being asked to teach, Tom has been sharing this work for over 19 years. His sessions give attendees a taste of what he exudes, a patient tender Love that is our true interconnected nature. His focus on connection to the immediacy of felt sensation enables potent transformations to readily manifest. His work and presence is an acknowledgement that our beautiful imperfect human condition is completely embraced by the wide openness of Life itself, even when the most uncomfortable aspects of ourselves appear.

Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT ~ If the Buddha had Trauma: Being Present with Stress Activation

Sunday, February 23, 2020 @ 11am-1pm (Pacific Time)

Throughout the history of spirituality, very little has been taught about how to be present with stress activation in our nervous system. In Buddha’s day that was not even considered. In fact, it is only in recent decades that this has been understood at all. At this time, life on planet Earth is stressful for everyone, and most of us have experienced trauma in greater or lesser degrees. This can make both our meditation practice and our awakening/embodiment process more challenging.

Nondual wisdom teaches us that awakening involves being present with “what is.” However, when it comes to stress and trauma that may require additional, skillful support, which will be discussed and demonstrated. This webinar is also an introduction to a 4 week course, “Awakening with Trauma,” that Lynn Marie is teaching beginning February 24th. The course will go into more depth about trauma and how to be with that as we awaken. This webinar will be primarily focused on working with the participants experientially.

Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT is a nondual psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and author. She is the co-author of The Awakening West and is a contributing author to The Sacred Mirror, as well as the author of Awakened Relating: A Guide to Embodying Undivided Love in Intimate Relationships. Lynn Marie Lumiere ~ Awakening with Trauma: A 4 Week Online Course

Monday, February 24, 2020 @ March 2, 9, 16

Although our true nature is untouched by anything we experience, our human body and mind are impacted by experiences that result in trauma. Any experience, especially early in life, that is outside our window of tolerance, can overwhelm our nervous system and create chronic stress patterns in the body/mind. These stuck patterns can affect our spiritual awakening process by making it more difficult to relax, trust, be in the present moment, and allow everything to be as it is—all of which are necessary for awakening.

This course will explore how to see healing from trauma and spiritual awakening as one process; each supporting the other. The more we awaken to our true nature, the more capacity we have to be present with traumatic stress; and the more we work with the trauma, the more capacity we have to be awake. Therefore, this course will point to both working with trauma using therapeutic methods and awakening to what is already free.

This four-week course will include the following topics:

  • What is trauma? How it affects our neuro-physiology and creates fixed beliefs
  • How trauma can be a path to awakening
  • How trauma can be an obstacle to awakening
  • How healing trauma and awakening are not separate paths
  • How it’s not your fault—It’s your nervous system
  • Skills for being present with and healing symptoms of trauma
  • Guided meditations for awakening

Stephan Bodian ~ Freedom from Fear in Challenging Times

Sunday, March 22, 2020 @ 9:00am-11:00am (Pacific Time)

Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA Time Zone Converter

Global pandemic. Climate emergency. Financial meltdown. Wherever we turn these days, we’re faced with circumstances that seem to threaten our very survival, couched in terms designed to strike fear into our hearts. How do we find peace in the midst of what seems like impending catastrophe? The short answer is, we take refuge from the mind’s preoccupation with a future that hasn’t arrived, and a past that no longer exists, in the timeless shelter of the Now.

As I often ask in satsangs and retreats: On present evidence only, without consulting the mind, is there a problem with this moment right now? And now? And now? As we drop out of the spinning mind into the heart, past the layers of fear and self-protection into the deepest inner knowing, what do we find? If we delve far enough, we inevitably encounter the peace and equanimity of our essential nature, the ground of being, which is not disturbed by the unavoidable ups and downs, gains and losses, blessings and catastrophes of life.

In this satsang, we’ll rest together in this deeper ground and explore the frightening stories and beliefs the mind keeps churning out. We’ll also practice welcoming the fear that does arise with understanding and compassion as we allow awareness to dissolve back into the Now. Abiding in this deeper, nondual ground frees us to do what needs to be done with clarity and equanimity, rather than the habitual confusion and fear.

Watch a compilation of online events with Stephan here.

Stephan Bodian has been sharing the direct approach to spiritual awakening for more than 40 years. A former Buddhist monk, a licensed psychotherapist, and a longtime student of Advaita master Jean Klein, Stephan received Dharma transmission from Adyashanti in 2001. Lynn Marie Lumiere, MFT ~ Brain, Being and Immunity

Saturday, March 28, 2020 @ 10:00am-12:00pm (Pacific Time)

Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA Time Zone Converter

We are all being inundated with information on how to strengthen our immune system due to the coronavirus. There is a lot of information available about vitamins, herbs and supplements to take, which is important. We are also being advised to do things such as yoga and meditation and to stay out of fear and anxiety. This webinar will focus on aspects of building strong immunity that are often not mentioned.

First of all, building immunity begins in the brain by learning to regulate the stress response in the autonomic nervous system. Many of us are already “stress sensitive” because of chronic stress arousal, and this has a direct effect on the functioning of the immune system. We now know that chronic stress arousal, as a result of trauma and prolonged stress, is what underlies most chronic illness. This webinar will focus on understanding the brain/immunity connection and will offer practical ways to build stress regulation.

Secondly, this lack of regulation keeps the body in a hyper-aroused state, which is not conducive to being present and accessing our shared Being in order to stay awake in these challenging times. This can also make it harder to differentiate ourselves from the collective field of fear that is present in our world at this time. Conscious connection to Being soothes, relaxes and balances our nervous system. So, the more we can both regulate and connect with Being, the stronger our immune function will be, and the more clarity we will have to take care of ourselves and others.

Her teaching stresses the need to combine Masculine and Feminine qualities and approaches. It is an invitation to find unity within and without.

Stephan Bodian ~ Finding Deeper Ground in Challenging Times: A 4-Week Online Course

Tuesday, April 7, 2020 @ 9:00am-11:00am (Pacific Time)

Global pandemic. Climate emergency. Financial meltdown. Wherever we turn these days, we’re faced with circumstances that seem to threaten our very survival, couched in terms designed to strike fear into our hearts. How do we find peace in the midst of what seems like impending catastrophe? How do we ride the waves of change to carry us deeper and deeper into the mystery of who we are?

At the ultimate level we can take refuge from the mind’s preoccupation with past and future in the silence and simplicity of the eternal now. As we drop out of the spinning mind, past the layers of fear and self-protection, we encounter the peace and equanimity of our essential nature, which is not disturbed by the inevitable ups and downs, gains and losses, blessings and catastrophes of life.

But when strong emotions like fear, despair, anger, or helplessness sneak up on us and grip our bodies in their unrelenting embrace, we may quickly lose touch with presence and cast about for ways to regain the peace and balance we’ve apparently lost. What options are open to us then? Where can we find a deeper ground?

In this four-week course, we’ll take the unprecedented events that are currently unfolding as our guru and support one another in welcoming our inner experience just as it is, without struggle or identification, while we let go of old certainties and fall into the groundless ground. Each class will include silent and guided meditation, self-inquiry, direct pointers to timeless truth, and ample time to explore our own evolving experience.

Since 2007 he has taught the annual months-long School for Awakening, which will begin again, in online form, in January 2020. His books include Wake Up Now and Beyond Mindfulness.

Isaac Shapiro ~ Resting as Who We have Always Been: Being Available as Love

Sunday, April 19, 2020 @ 1:00pm-3:00pm (Pacific Time)

“As life lives us, a recognition of our true nature makes it possible for the automatic, unconscious patterns that produce a sense of disease and separateness, to come home. This allows living as love – the nectar of which benefits all beings.”

Recognizing our true nature is the apex of what is possible for the human expression. In that recognition, the possibility arises to develop skillful means to assist in the integration of collective trauma, conditioning and undigested life experience. We welcome you to explore this possibility together.

Through direct yet playful inquiry into what is, we will be unraveling the conditioning of the mind and the nervous system. The format of the meeting is interactive and spontaneous, deeply in tune with what wants to emerge in the moment.

Isaac Shapiro is an internationally known facilitator and non-dual teacher, fascinated with life lived in alignment with the world’s wisdom traditions. A former student of H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji), Isaac draws on a broad spectrum of understanding, from Advaita to neurophysiology to some of the latest discoveries in quantum physics, which he applies in a light-hearted but direct way.

Through years of working with people, Isaac has cultivated and refined an ability to track what is happening in the nervous system of participants. Bringing this awareness to people’s attention, allows our natural, innate self-regulating mechanism to be re-established.

Sonya Amrita Bibilos ~ Awaken at Work: Consciousness in Business

Saturday, April 25, 2020 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA Time Zone Converter

In our culture, we are taught that business and spirituality do not mix. But in Oneness, work can’t be separate from Consciousness. Awakening at work is a critical element of embodiment and living Truth and Light every day.
Every day, your work needs your awakened awareness – wisdom, truth, compassion, and integrity. When you show up with these qualities, you create a domino effect of positive impact: 1. You feel more clear, aligned and at peace at work; 2. You inspire others by example and encourage them to be authentic, compassionate and wise; 3. You change how you do business, which can ultimately create ripple effects of change in your work culture, business, or industry.
During this event, Sonya will guide you to an experience of empowered embodiment with your work and help you see the ways in which you can bring your awakened wisdom and compassion to work each day. There will be time for questions and answers.

Sonya Amrita Bibilos is a healer, teacher, and coach who experienced a series of life-changing awakenings while working at a Silicon Valley software company, and later while serving as the Program Director for her spiritual teacher, Adyashanti. For almost 15 years, she has been supporting entrepreneurs, executives at all levels, business coaches, successful artists, spiritual teachers, and medical professionals to awaken at work and create Conscious Business.

Ellen Emmet ~ The Awakening Body

Wednesday, April 29, 2020 @ 10:30am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

This is an opportunity to meet with a group of like-minded friends. We gather around the non-dual teaching with a particular focus on the realm of the body, its tactility and feelings, from the perspective of our shared listening Presence. This approach to the body is a form of ‘somatic inquiry’ that invites us to open to the totality of our felt, tactile and sensorial experience moment by moment, free of any agenda, allowing us to uncover the open Presence which is our essential identity.

Ellen will guide a gentle experiential meditation, followed by a conversation where participants may ask questions or share their experiences.

Ellen’s deepest intuition was confirmed when she met her teacher, Francis Lucille. In his presence, she recognized the eternal, limitless and universal nature of our shared reality. Over many years, her understanding deepened to touch all levels of experience. The process of aligning and stabilizing all aspects of her life to this understanding has continued to unfold since then.

Today, Ellen offers meetings and retreats in The Awakening Body, sharing a direct exploration of reality sourced in the tradition of Kashmir Shivaism and self-inquiry as transmitted through Francis Lucille and his teacher, Jean Klein. In addition, she has a private practice as a psychotherapist and facilitator of Authentic Movement. Her background of Dance Movement Therapy and Transpersonal Psychology is shaped by the non-dual understanding. Ellen lives in Oxford, England with her husband, Rupert Spira.

Tom Kurzka ~ Vulnerability as the Aliveness of Being Itself

Sunday, May 3, 2020 @ 10:00am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

The Covid-19 virus has pulled the rug out from under our world. Suddenly we are confronted by the inescapable fact that what we assumed was our solid very knowable world is fragile, fluid and fleeting. Deprived of our normal routines and distractions, we are being plunged into survival fear, into the unknown. Will my world continue? What will happen to me and my loved ones? If we are honest with ourselves, we come face to face with our own vulnerability, the last place our mind structure wants to go. This brings us to something very infantile, where a primitive ameoba-like sense of touch forms preconceptually. As the intellectual capacity develops, this innocent sense of touch gets covered over by a fixated belief in human skin guarding against a reified outside world. If we are willing to completely collapse into this state of infant helplessness, the boundary is seen in all its innocence — fluid alive energy arising and dissipating in the freedom of the moment. Our personality dissolves into Being Itself. To quote Rumi: “At the very moment you become content in affliction, the door of paradise will open.”

Watch a short video compilation of online events with Tom here.

In this event we will work with our fears that are being triggered by these troubled and uncertain times. We will use the breath and felt sensation as an anchor out of our distracting and wandering minds. Using the simple appreciation and curiosity inherent in Being, we will gently peel away the layers of protection that cover our existential sense of angst, our vulnerability. In this soft and open place, an immediate aliveness is felt, an immense holding embraces our humanness and soothes our worst fear: “the dissolution of me.” Who we truly are is holding it all.

The event is recorded and emailed to participants within 48 hours after each meeting. You are welcome to join even if you are not able to attend all the live sessions.

During the 2-day intensive with Tilicho, we will inquire about our Real Nature and bring healing to the traumas and memories preventing us from really being ourselves.

You are invited to dive deep within, and let all causes of suffering emerge to the surface, in a safe atmosphere of love, compassion and understanding.

Thanks to the very interactive format of the meeting, you'll be able to receive personal guidance and suggestions about your awakening and healing journey.

We meet from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a half an hour break.

Her teaching stresses the need to combine Masculine and Feminine qualities and approaches. It is an invitation to find unity within and without.

Ellen Emmet ~ The Awakening Body: 3-Day Online Retreat

Wednesday, May 13, 2020 @ May 14th, May 15th, 10:30am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

Saturday, May 16, 2020 @ 10am-12noon (Pacific Time)

Pacific Time - San Francisco, CA, USA Time Zone Converter

When we give ourselves the opportunity to leave our busy world behind, we discover a completely different world. This other world is mysterious and filled with the awe of the universe. You will directly experience the simultaneity of the chronic dissociative state and the unfathomable silence that we are. Which is always here.

Our busy world is confusion, struggle and endless dissatisfaction. The world of reality is peace, clarity, love and profound truth.

Of course you have heard all of this before. The question is, which world do you choose to live in?

Together we will devote ourselves to the Being that we are. Along the way obstacles like trauma, pain, confusion and pleasure tend to arise. When we wholeheartedly receive them, naturally Being stands out as the only thing there really is. Which is You!

Please come and join this exploration.

She lives in Santa Cruz; California and works internationally.

Adam Chacksfield ~ Falling Open Together

Sunday, May 24, 2020 @ 10:00am-12:00noon (Pacific Time)

Join Adam for Falling Open Together and invite more intimacy with the deeper movement of life through us and between us.

“We are invited to receive the ultimate gift, for which there is no substitute , worth infinitely more than all our dreams and fantasies. We accept this gift by simply falling open. When the heart and mind fall open, we find ourselves intimately present and completely available to what is here. Our struggle with reality dissolves into harmony.”

Described by Pamela Wilson as “a great messenger of truth with a unique transmission that does wonderful things for my spirit,” Adam invites us to share the direct experience of the heart and mind falling open. In this effortless opening, the suffering involved in resisting feelings and believing our thoughts spontaneously releases. This allows our natural abundance of joy, peace, wisdom and love to become apparent and available. Heart-centered and direct, Adam offers a path straight into the truth of who you are. Adam Chacksfield offers retreats worldwide exploring the depths that reveal that reveal themselves as we become more intimate with our embodied experience and the vibrantly alive field of relating. Tilicho ~ Deep Dive into Awakening and Healing – 4-Hour Workshop

Saturday, May 30, 2020 @ 9:00am - 1:00pm (Pacific Time)

Time Zone Converter

During this series of workshops with Tilicho, we inquire about our Real Nature and bring healing to the traumas and mind patterns preventing us from really being ourselves.

This session will focus on relationships with others and the world, as well as on irrational fears, related to the 1st chakra. "What disturbs me in the world? Who disturbs me?"

Her teaching stresses the need to combine Masculine and Feminine qualities and approaches. It is an invitation to find unity within and without.

Gail Brenner, Ph.D. ~ Deep Healing of Trauma-Based Patterns: Tending the Fertile Soil for Awakened Living ~ 4-part Course

Tuesday, June 2, 2020 @ and Fridays, June 5, 12 & 19, 9:00am - 11:00am (Pacific Time)

Event will be recorded and emailed to participants after each meeting.
You're welcome to join even if you can't attend all the live sessions.
4-part Course: June 2, 5, 12, 19
9:00 – 11:00 am, Pacific Time

A powerful insight is illuminated when we realize how much our conditioned patterns mask our happiness. Many of these patterns have plagued us for years. We hear about freedom as a possibility, but we just don’t know how to find our way there. And meanwhile, the patterns keep getting played out in our minds, our emotions, our relationships, and our choices in life. We feel stuck in the painful sense of separation…from ourselves and the sacredness of all of Life.

Join this 4-session series as we create a safe and supportive healing community to do the deeper work that unfolds on the path of awakening. Through helpful practices, including guided meditations, clarifying wisdom, and heartfelt conversation, we’ll learn to untangle these patterns and find our way home to the ever present space of inner aliveness.

    • We’ll cultivate a sense of safety for those hidden, cut off parts of ourselves to come out into the light of loving awareness. This is what heals shame.
    • We’ll attend to the nervous system and the body to stay rooted in the world.
    • We’ll learn to notice repetitive thought patterns without getting caught in them and challenge limiting beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world.
    • We’ll practice honoring and embracing difficult emotions so they can be offered the loving attention they so desperately long for.
    • And we’ll discover, over and over, the ground of being, your true home that has never been touched by these experiences.

Stress and worry…people pleasing…persistent relationship struggles…proving yourself through accomplishments…these longstanding patterns are profound invitations into liberation from the sense of separation. Together, we lovingly embrace our humanness as we expand into overflowing appreciation, vibrant joy, and deep connection with all of Life.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about this series, please email Gail directly at gail@gailbrenner.com.

"At any moment, within the field of your own experience, there is an inner sanctuary of presence and stillness. You access this space by shifting your attention away from the jumble of thoughts, feelings, stories, fears, and external input such as others’ opinions. You simply turn inward—beyond all mind movement—and be.

In no time at all, you find the ground of being, the light of living vibration that’s here in every moment. It’s timeless, which means it’s eternally present, and all-embracing as the unity of all. Don’t be afraid of this vast love. Fall into its arms…"

Gail Brenner, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and author who who has a passion for embodied conscious living. Her work lovingly illuminates our everyday humanness with the deepest spiritual truths.
