Michael A. Rodriguez ~ Living & Loving as Awareness
Sunday, December 3, 2017 @ 2:00pm~5:00pm
2-4 pm, with refreshments until 5 pm
DESCRIPTION: Satsang is a rare opportunity to sit together in an intimate space of deep-rooted Presence-Awareness and unconditional Love. This space is the foundation for inquiring into whatever appears to be blocking or veiling your inherent mental, emotional, and somatic freedom. Satsang begins from the exact opposite perspective of traditional psychotherapy, which incorrectly assumes there’s something fundamentally wrong with you that you need to fix, change, or transform. We begin immediately from the living realization that you are already essentially perfect, whole, and complete and that you are not separate from the rest of Life. When the belief in and sensation of separation fall away, life is revealed to be what it always was: pure radiation from a dimensionless source of infinite Intelligence and boundless Love. You return to your undefended sensitivity, innocence, love, affection, and intimacy, and the body becomes what it was meant to be: pure, vibrant, flowing aliveness–a faithful servant of the Heart of Awareness.
BIO: Michael’s spiritual path began 23 years ago with Zen and subsequently included deep engagements with Vedanta, Tibetan Buddhism, Sufism, and Christian mysticism. He holds four academic degrees, including a master’s degree in Comparative Religion from Harvard, and lived for two years in a monastery. During a five-year period of intensive self-inquiry, his search came to an end with an Awakening that revealed the infinite and eternal nature of the Self. His body and mind then underwent a radical transformation that established the seamlessness and aliveness of all experience.. In addition to drawing from the world’s wisdom traditions, Michael also integrates Jungian psychology, literature, music, and art into his work to address the full range of human potential. His book, Boundless Awareness: A Loving Path to Spiritual Awakening, will be published by Non-Duality Press / New Harbinger in March 2018. His interviews on Buddha at the Gas Pump and Conscious TV can be accessed via his website:
