DESCRIPTION:While the first step in awakening involves transcending our personal narrative and waking “up” to our true nature as unbounded awareness\, we must also wake ‘down” into the heart and ground in order to embody this understanding in our ordinary life – the path of immanence. This requires that emotional and instinctual levels of our conditioning are increasingly infused with the light of Awareness. \nJohn Prendergast\, Ph.D  is a spiritual teacher and retired psychotherapist and adjunct professor of psychology at CIIS\, well known for his pioneering work in integrating non-dual wisdom and psychotherapy. He studied with the European sage Jean Klein for many years\, as well as with Adyashanti\, who gave him dharma transmission in August\, 2023.
