SUMMARY:John J. Prendergast\, Ph.D ~ Finding Our Deepest Ground: 4-Part Course
DESCRIPTION:4-Part Online Course\nMarch 7\, 14\, 21 & 28\, 2021\n10:00 am – 12:00 noon Pacific Time\, each day\nTime Zone Converter\nEvent will be recorded and emailed to participants after each meeting.\nYou’re welcome to join even if you can’t attend all the live sessions. \nGeneral Description: When and how are we most deeply grounded? In this series we will experientially explore this vital question and discover its relevance to more fully embodying our spiritual understanding. \nMost contemplative traditions\, east or west\, tend to focus on awakening the mind and heart. However\, they often minimize or entirely ignore the belly (or hara) which includes our felt sense of the ground. As a result many long-term spiritual practitioners remain unfamiliar with this critically important domain and are subject to doubting their inner authority and being regularly hijacked by the deeply conditioned and unconscious fears embedded in this area. \nIn our shared journey\, we will explore the different dimensions of the ground – egoic\, soul/archetypal\, and Self (no self) – and our resistance to more fully opening to the ground of Being. We will also learn how to welcome our resistance from Presence and to rest in and as our deepest Ground. This brings a profound sense of inner stability\, self-trust\, autonomy\, and connection with a fundamental life current. It also provides a foundational safety for sustaining an open heart and clear mind. \nSunday\, March 7th “The Multidimensional Ground: Ego\, Soul\, and Self (no self)” \nSunday\, March 14th “Resistance to Opening to Our Deepest Ground” \nSunday\, March 21st “Welcoming Resistance from Presence” \nSunday\, March 28th “Resting in and as our Deepest Ground” \nBio: John J. Prendergast\, Ph.D. is the author of The Deep Heart (2019) and In Touch (2015)\, a retired Adjunct Professor of Psychology at CIIS\, a spiritual teacher\, and a soon-to-retire psychotherapist\, who offers online and in-person (when possible) retreats. \nwww.listeningfromsilence.com\nYouTube channel \nSliding Scale: $60 to $100\nSome Partial Scholarships Available\nPlease Register Early if you can. \nREGISTER
