Amoda Maa ~ Relationship As A Doorway To Awakening (SOLD OUT- waitlist available)

Saturday, July 28, 2018 @ 10:00am-4:00 pm

This event is currently SOLD OUT. If you would like to be put on a waitlist, please email us at web@opencirclenter.org.

In order to facilitate a more intimate container in which the group can really go deep, this special daylong with Amoda Maa requires pre-registration and has a limited number of attendee spaces. So, be sure to sign-up early!

As awakening descends from the sanctuary of enlightened mind to the fullness of the heart, a deeper surrender is called for. It’s in the places where it hurts – such as relationship, pain and loss – that awakening demands a deeper opening and willingness to be vulnerable. Whether we’re talking about our relationship to an intimate partner, a family member, a passing stranger, the world or even to our own feelings – the invitation is to put down our weapons of war and meet everyone and everything as the open hand of love. In this way, relationship becomes a potent doorway to awakening as a lived expression.

In this Daylong Meeting, Amoda invites you to consider questions such as …

How do we deal with triggers in relationship?

Are you willing to face the fear of aloneness?

Are you willing to expose the myth of the special relationship?

How do we stop making an enemy out of those who don’t agree with us or give us the love we want?

What is the true purpose of relationship?

Amoda will be joined by her husband and beloved, Kavi, who will offer improvised music of the heart as well as his wisdom and love. Together, they will also offer insights from their own relationship.

What really matters is your willingness to turn towards tenderness in the midst of that which offends you, to stand as openness in the face of brokenness, and to bear the unbearable.

This is the path of surrender .. and the only way I know to enter the slip-stream of unspeakable grace inside this human experience.”

– Amoda Maa

Amoda Maa is a contemporary spiritual teacher, author, and speaker. After years of spiritual seeking, meditation, and immersion in psycho-spiritual practices, an experience of the dark night of the soul led her to a profound inner awakening. Then, after a long period of integration, she began speaking from silence in small gatherings in the United Kingdom. She offers meetings and retreats, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and events, attracting spiritual seekers and people looking for peace and fulfillment in an increasingly chaotic world. Her teachings are free of religion and tradition, and she brings to them a deep understanding of the human journey, born out of her own experience.

She is the author of Radical Awakening (originally released as How to Find God in Everything) and Change Your Life, Change Your World. Both books were written shortly after her awakening and before she began to speak in public.

Her new book Embodied Enlightenment — written 15 years after her awakening — is based on the many conversations at the cutting edge of spiritual inquiry in her meetings with people from all around the world, and addresses many of the ques-tions relevant to today’s seeker. It has been acclaimed as “a beautiful and precious gift to an emerging new humanity.”

Amoda lives with her husband and beloved, Kavi, in California.

Kavi is a “holistic inquiry” coach, poet, and musician. His awakening has unfolded over the 16 years of his relationship with Amoda, and he often supports her teaching with his irreverent and yet deeply compassionate wisdom.
